Notes on Statistics
Statistics on PC usage indicates the level of computerization.
USA and Singapore have the highest PC density. Canada, Korea and Hong Kong are top Internet users. To gauge industrial usage, PC density in business has to be compared. Better analysis will be to separate the household penetration and business penetration. But it will be very difficult to obtain that type of data. Sampling survey will be required to study type of usage. The average for APEC region is compared with the world average and APEC accounting 42% of world population has 62% of world Internet users.
